Instead of walking at the same pace you'll want to split your walk into intervals and change speeds. After as you've finished your 3-5 minute warm you'll start if off by walking at fast pace for 30 seconds,(high intensity) once that 30 seconds is up, then walk at your standard pace for 1 minute.(low intensity). Doing one of these pyramid fat loss workouts, which is the walking workout I just described to you, should take about 15 minutes to finish. What happens is when you finish this type of fat loss workout, your body continues to burn calories long after you are done exercising.
This is important to notice, because if your body continues to burn up calories, it will never have time to accumulate any fat.
I know many men and women decide to start exercising to burn off unwanted fat. But what exactly is a fat loss workout routine? What makes a workout effective for burning fat? Now, before you ask, "What is the best fat loss workout ?" There are many workout programs designed to burn fat. And there are a lot of different fat burning workouts that do work. If you hate riding an exercise bike... don't pick a program that focuses on biking!
Aerobic only fat loss workout routines may work over the long term... but unless you want to be a Marathon runner, a combination of weight training and "cardio" is best.
